Abstract Submission Guidelines

  • Prior Submitted/Presented abstract can be submitted.
  • All Oncology Fraternity can submit their abstract.
  • The work should be related to metronomic chemotherapy and oncology
  • Summaries of new, ongoing and updated research (Original work and hypothesis) will be acceptable for submission and presentation.
  • The abstract must be submitted online only
  • Presenting author to be highlighted in bold and underline.
  • Title should be in bold letters.
  • Use the Font type Arial and Font Size 12.
  • The maximum word limit, including the title and body of the abstract, is 300 words.
  • Abstracts should be structured to include the following 4 sections: Background: introductory sentence specifying the purpose of the study Material and methods: brief description of relevant experimental procedures Results: summary of the results of the investigation Conclusions: a statement of the main conclusions
  • Inappropriately structured or incomplete abstracts will not be accepted.
  • An abstract may not contain any illustrations, images. One table can be submitted if crucial to judge the quality of abstract.
  • Registration is mandatory for all delegates presenting their papers.
  • The abstract author will be notified by email about its acceptance and other details.
  • Accepted presenters must adhere to deadlines and guidelines, and they must promptly respond to communication.
  • Abbreviations may be used if standard or if spelled out and defined at the first use (put in parentheses immediately after the first mention of a term or phrase). Compounds should be mentioned with the generic name, in lower cases. Commercial names are admitted in the text, with an ®, and if in brackets following the generic name, i.e. “generic (Commercial ®)”. Up to 3 keywords should be provided to distinguish the abstract for indexing purposes. No more than 20 authors can be listed with only their institutional affiliation(s), city and country. Mailing addresses and academic degrees should not be mentioned. For cooperative study groups, the name of the group should be used instead of individual institutional affiliations or include the name of the group in the title of the abstract.

The abstracts can be submitted in doc or docx file format at the event@metronomicsmumbai.com or on-line.

Special Features

  • The Topmost Abstracts will be selected for ORAL PRESENTATIONS.
  • The best Abstract submitted in Pediatric Oncology will receive the “BARTEN KAMEN PRIZE”.


  • Other selected Abstracts will be displayed as POSTER PRESENTATIONS.
  • The Poster should display the title prominently, text brief and well organized. The text should include the background of the submitted work, methods, results, and conclusions. Illustrations and figures should be simple and eye catching, with unnecessary details left out.
  • The size of each poster should be maximum Width 48, Height 36 inches.

10th April 2016 - Deadline for Abstract Withdrawal
25th April 2016 - Release of Abstract titles online
